RULES & GUIDELINES for Cheerleading:
Below is a list of rules & guidelines for cheerleading.
Please initial your registration form to
indicate that you have received them. All of these rules are because at
some point these issues
have come up. So, as you read over them and think that could never happen,
please think
again. We want the girls to have a great time and enjoy cheerleading.
These rules are designed
to provide a safe environment for everyone. We look forward to a great
season.
1. All girls should wear
comfortable clothes & sneakers to practices. No one will be allowed to
practice or cheer at games without sneakers.
2. Girls should wear their hair away from their faces.
3. Chewing gum is not allowed
during practices or games. There is no eating during practices
or games.
4. Please bring a water bottle, or drink to all games & practices.
5. Girls are not allowed to leave the field during practice or games without coach's permission.
6. You must give your full attention to the coach
at all times. If a coach has to correct a behavior
more than 3 times you will be asked to leave the field.
7. All coaches are to be referred to as "Coach (Name)" not just their first name.
8. Please have your child use the bathroom before games & practices.
9. Please be prompt picking up & dropping off your child at games & practices.
10. Do
not drop your child off at the field gate. This is a safety issue, please park
in the lot and
walk your child to the field.
11. If you
are dropping off your child, you MUST notify your coach and make sure she has
your contact information.
12. Do not ask the coach for a ride. Our insurance does not cover their vehicles.
13. Siblings and friends are not allowed on the
field during games & practices. They are not
insured, anyone is welcome to come and watch at any time.
14. Parents are required to work the snack bar
for all games. Coaches will hand out a schedule.
If it is raining and football is playing, you are still needed at the snack bar.
If you are unable to
keep your scheduled time please call another parent to switch. Coaches cannot
cover the snack bar.
15. We do not
practice or cheer in the rain. You will receive an email or phone call is a game
or
practice is cancelled.
16. Coaches will
be available to discuss any concerns after practice. Please do not interrupt
practices.
You may also contact the director at
Cherryhillcheer@msn.com
17. Give your child support and
encouragement, not criticism. Let the coach be the disciplinarian &
mentor. If you feel the coach is missing something your child is doing
incorrectly, or if you have a
question, please discuss it with your coach, but not during practice. Your
questions & concerns
are important to coaches, so if you miss them after practice please email
them.
18. Parents are expected to
set the example for the children. Please do not critique other children
while you are watching games & practices. You never know who is listening.
19. Any infractions of these rules, by either
parents or children, will be addressed first with the
individual and then the director. Continual problems will results in removal
from the squad with
no refund. Inappropriate parent behavior can result in a well behaved child
being removed from
the squad.
These rules are designed for the safety of
your children and our coaches. We ask that parents &
children will follow these rules, if you have any concerns please bring them to
your coach. If you
are still not satisfied you may bring them to the director of cheerleading.
Please be aware of your squad's rules & support your coaches by
having your child follow them.
Parents will support Cherry Hill Cheerleading's team philosophies and
guidelines. If parents have
a difference of philosophies, they should look elsewhere for their cheerleading
experience.
